Castelnuovo Magra is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of La Spezia in the Italian region Liguria, located about southeast of Genoa and about east of La Spezia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,948 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Castelnuovo Magra contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Colombiera, Molicciara, Palvotrisia, Molino Del Piano and Vallecchia.
